What blogging service do you use the most?

Fri Apr 7, 2006, 5:21 AM
Hello,

I was just wondering what blog service do you use the most and above all, why?

Is it Livejournal, Blogger, Movable Type, Wordpress, Myspace, DeviantArt (even if I suppose it's rather to talk about art and our own works) or any other one?

Thanks for your answers ;)

The Era Of Single-use

Mon Apr 3, 2006, 7:18 AM
Hello,

I guess that you have seen Fight Club? I really like this movie, like a lot of people. Not really for the "violent" and "anarchistic" side which seems to be "hype", no, what speaks to me the most is this theory of the "single-use" that seems to be a truth in a lot of fields. And it seems to be a sign of the time. Nothing last. Could you give me an example of something that last? A feeling or whatever you want.

The fact is we take what we need, we take all that we can really take and then, we throw it by the window. Colors fade away, feelings fade away, dreams die by themselves or with the help of people, everything goes so fast that we are always obsolete.

It's even more difficult to make the things last. Don't you think? All in all, I'm not sure that we are now interested in making the things last.

There's always something that keeps you alive and never betrays you I guess. It can be Art maybe. I would say for me that is Music. And not that "single-use" musics. All those sounds that come to take you deep within and make you stronger. All those melodies that make you think that you will never be left aside by them. Clutching at straws. I don't know if you know the last of album of Sigur Ros, called Takk (which means "thanks") but it's the perfect example at the moment. It's to us to thank them for offer us this music that will last forever far beyond the borders of our stained hearts.

I mean that even after some years, the strenght is always there, unchanged, so deep. It's almost scaring. I have always thought that I have to cherish this musical world that make me bear everything. And I did I think. It's the sole thing that has never betrayed me, absolutely never, with nothing asked in return.

Well I don't know if you see what I mean, it's not really explicit. Anyway, to change of subject, I can't wait to receive a Canon digital camera that I have ordered yesterday. It's another way to make the things last, don't you feel? A photograph of a moment, a vision that will make a feeling forever. It's how I see photography. A way to fight the "single-use".

That's all for now. Thanks for having read this ;)

Thanks!
